Below more about how this wine was discovered by me and my traveling companion:

On our camper trip across this island, we only came across Sardenian wine at the vinotheque and supermarket. But what we also noticed is that people in Sardinia are fond of local products in all kinds of areas. Not much seemed to come from the mainland.
But no matter how we searched, the red ones were hard and not accessible unlike the Vermentinos. The local red grape is called Cannonau. Turns out to be the Grenache Noir. This Grenache is a grape in France that produces a weak wine and is almost never presented as a monovarietal. Usually added in combination with the Syrah grape. But we didn't give up.

On one of our journeys inland we necessarily came to a small shop in a mini-village. They sold everything there for the necessary basic necessities and that of course also includes wine. And now let's taste this wine, but it is a Carignano, or the better known Carignan in France, which is found in many southern French wines and also gives it firmness there.

Most wine regions are located in the extreme south of Sardinia and that area is called Sulcis. And that is also where our selection comes from. Furthermore, not unimportant: because it is always windy and dry, diseases caused by moisture are virtually non-existent.
